Charkia

Charkia is a community in Kyrenia province, Cyprus, situated 21km east of the city of Kyrenia.

Charkia has been under Turkish military occupation since 1974. Prior to the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, its population of 600 persons was over 99% Greek.
