Thomas Mavros first scored at the age of 16 years, 8 months and 20 days
The following players scored in the top Greek football division before completing their 17th year of age.
- Peter Ofori-Quaye: 16 years, 2 months and 4 days -- He scored for Kalamata FC in the 1996 game Kalamata - Apollon Athens 1-0
- Derek Boateng: 16 years, 7 months and 9 days
- Thomas Mavros: 16 years, 8 months and 20 days -- Scored for Panionios on Feb. 21, 1971 in a game against Pierikos
- Giorgos Kyriazis: 16 years, 9 months and 8 days --He scored for Iraklis on December 8, 1996, Apollon Athens - Iraklis 4-1
- Sotiris Ninis: 16 years, 9 months and 24 days -- Scored for Panathinaikos on January 27, 2007 in Panathinaikos -Panionios 2-0 game
Both Peter Ofori-Quaye and Derek Boateng were Ghana nationals playing in the Greek premier division. That leaves Thomas Mavros as the youngest Greek player to ever score in top Greek soccer division.
