'''Antonios Kriezis''' (Greek: Αντώνιος Κριεζής) ([[1796]] - [[1865]]), a freedom fighter in the Greek [[Greek War of Independence]] of [[1821]] and later [[List of Prime Ministers of Greece|Prime Minister of Greece]].
Kriezis was descended from the island of [[Hydra]] and was born in [[Troizina]] in [[1796]]. In [[July]], 1821, he served in the Greek navy and he took part in the naval battles of [[Samos]] and of [[Spetses]]. In [[1825]] with [[Konstantinos Kanaris]] he set on fire an Egyptian warship inside the port of [[Alexandria]]. In [[1828]], [[Ioannis Kapodistrias]] placed him in command of a navy squadron and in [[1829]], he captured[[Vonitsa]] from the [[Ottoman Empire|Turks]].
