Vangelis Vlahos Panathinaikos

Vangelis Vlachos was a Greek footballer (midfielder) of the 1980s - early 1990s era.

Vlachos was born on January 6, 1962. He started his career at AEK in 1980 and became team captain at age 21. In December 1985, he joined cross-town rivals Panathinaikos and played for the greens until 1991.

After his playing days were over, Vlachos coached a number of clubs including OFI, Panionios, Iraklis and Asteras Tripolis.

In the summer of 2012 he replaced Nikos Kostenoglou as coach of his former club AEK.
