Minou was born on [[May 4]], [[1958]]. He started playing football for [[Almopos Aridaia FC]] until [[1980]] when he was acquired by [[Kastoria FC|Iraklis]] to replace [[Nikos Sarganis]] who had gone to [[Olympiakos FC|Olympiakos]].

In [[1982]], Minou was transferred to [[Panathinaikos FC|Panathinaikos]] where he became the regular keeper until [[1988]]. That year, he moved to cross-town rivals [[AEK FC|AEK]]. In [[1993]], he moved yet again to [[Apollon Athens FC|Apollon Athens]] where he ended his career in [[1996]].

During his playing career, Minou was capped 16 times by the [[National Football Team]] of [[Greece]]. He was a member of the squad that competed in World Cup 1994 in the US.
