Aristocrates was the son of King [[Iketas]] and grandson of [[Aristocrates I]].
He is known in history chiefly for his role in the [[Second Messinian War]]: At first he sided with [[Aristomenes]] and the [[Messene]]ans however he betrayed them to the [[Sparta]]ns after being bribed. Upon his return to [[Arcadia]], he was stoned to death, for his treachery, by his own people who then abolished the monarchy.
