Ambos was born in October [[1937]] in [[Mytilene]]. He came to [[AEK FC|AEK]] in [[1956]] from A.O. Kifisia. He made close to 100 appearances in the [[Alpha Ethniki]], for the [[Athens]] club, in the six seasons he played for them.

He died on [[July 1]], [[2020]].
