'''Dimitrios Valvis''' was a [[Greeks|Greek]] jurist, politician and Prime Minister.

Valvis was born in [[1814]] in [[Messolonghi]]. He studied Law in Pisa, Italy.
On his return to Greece, he practiced law, became a judge and eventually was elevated to the presidency of the Greek Supreme Court (Areios Pagos).

In [[1886]], at the request of [[King George I]], Valvis served as Prime Minister. He died in [[1892]].

Dimitrios Valvis was the younger brother of [[Zinovios Valvis]] who also served as Prime Minister.
