'''Michalis Mouroutsos''' is a [[Greeks|Greek]] tae kwon do champion and Olympic gold medallist.

Mouroutsos was born on [[February 29]], [[1980]] in Langadia, [[Arcadia]]. He began tae kwon do in [[1987]] and holds a sixth-degree black belt. He is an athlete of AS Dafni.

Mouroutsos won the first Olympic gold medal awarded for tae kwon do (58kg) in the [[2000]] Olympiad in Sydney, Australia. He also won gold at the European championship of [[Patra]] held that same year.

He is an officer in the [[Hellenic Navy]].
