Yiannis Papantoniou was a Greek football player of the 1940s - 1950s era.

Nicknamed "The teacher" for his technique, Papantoniou was born on March 9, 1928. He played in the midfield for Panathinaikos and was capped 15 times by the National Football Team of Greece.

He died on January 8, 2015.
