  • August 30: Italian forces bombard and occupy Corfu in retaliation for the death of a kidnapped Italian general by bandits. 20 Greeks die in the bombardment.

  • September 27: The Italian forces that had occupied Corfu evacuate the island. Greece is forced to pay an indemnity to the Italian government.
