- March 6: ELAS guerrilas attack a convoy of Italian occupation troops at Fardykampos near Siatista, Macedonia. They capture 600 prisoners and much war materiel.
- March 20: Italian occupation troops execute several Greeks in Kastoria, western Macedonia. Among those killed is the local priest Father Ch. Papachristou.

- July 13: German occupation troops burn down the village of Kefalovryso, Ioannina prefecture, Epirus. Among those executed is the village priest.

- September 30: 10 Greeks are executed in Patra by the Nazis.

- November 7: German Nazi forces destroy the larger part of Karpenisi by setting it on fire.
