- January 14: Major Ioannis Tsigantes, leader of the resistance movement Midas 614, is slain during a battle with Italian carabinieri.
- January 19: The "RHS Vasilissa Olga" sinks the Italian ship Stromboli off the coast of Tunisia.
February
- February 4: Kostas Perrikos, head of resistance group PEAN is executed by the Germans.
March
- March 5: Dozens of Greeks are killed during a protest against conscription by the occupying Axis powers.
- March 6: ELAS guerrilas attack a convoy of Italian occupation troops at Fardykampos near Siatista, Macedonia. They capture 600 prisoners and much war materiel.
- March 15: The first convoy of Greek Jews leaves for Auschwitz.
- March 20: Italian occupation troops execute several Greeks in Kastoria, western Macedonia. Among those killed is the local priest Father Ch. Papachristou.
