Comments

Olympiakos won their second consecutive Alpha Ethniki title, again coached by the legendary Marton Bukovi.

All eyes, however, were on their eternal opponents who had gone through a radical transformation in the summer as six of their better players rebelled against coach Stjepan Bobek and were out of the lineup. Panathinaikos, with relatively unknown players Haris Grammos, Yiannis Kalaitzidis and Victor Mitropoulos, fared better than expected winning third place in the standings.
