- January 13: Panos Kammenos announces that Independent Greeks are pulling out of Tsipras' coalition government.
- January 16: PM Alexis Tsipras survives a no confidence vote by 151 to 148.
- January 19: Emmanouil Karalis (pole vault), Miltiadis Tentoglou (long jump) and Odysseas Mouzenidis (shot put) win gold medals at the first indoor Mediterranean Athletics U23 Championships in Miramas (France).
- January 20: An estimated 60,000 people protest against the Prespes agreement in Athens' Syntagma Square.
- January 20: Stefanos Tsitsipas upsets Roger Federer 3-1 sets in the round of 16 at the Australia Open.
- January 22: Stefanos Tsitsipas defeats Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut 3-1 sets to advance to the semi-finals of the Australia Open.

- February 17: Panathinaikos wins its 19th Greek Basketball Cup beating PAOK 79-73 in the final.

- March 1: Rating agency Moody’s upgrades Greece’s sovereign credit rating by two notches from “B3” to “B1” with a stable outlook.

- April 14: The dead body of a woman is discovered by two tourists in a mine shaft at Mitsero, Cyprus.
- April 15: The dead woman is identified as Mary Rose Tiburcio, of the Philippines, who had been missing for eleven months.
- April 18: Police arrest two officers of the Cyprus National Guard, aged 30 and 35, in connection with the murder of Mary Rose Tiburcio.
- April 20: A second decomposed body of a woman is found at the Mitsero mine shaft. The 30-year old suspect is released.
- April 21: The 35-year old Cyprus National Guard officer, arrested in connection with the Mitsero murders, is identified as Nicos Metaxas.
- April 21: PAOK ends their 34-year wait for a league title as a 5-0 rout of relegated Levadiakos saw the Thessaloniki club win the Super League with one match to spare amid frenzied celebrations at the Toumba Stadium.
- April 25: Police discover a third body in Orounta, after being led there by Metaxas. The latter confesses to seven murders.
May
- May 11: PAOK win the Greek Cup for the third time in a row after defeating AEK for the third time in a row (this time with 1-0), and the so called “Double” for the first time after clinching the championship three weeks earlier.
- May 22: AEL Limassol wins the Cyprus Football Cup for the seventh time beating APOEL Nicosia 2-0 in the final.
- May 26: Local and European elections are held simultaneously in Greece.
June
- June 2: The second round of local elections is held throughout Greece. Ioannina elects the first Jewish mayor in the country - Moses Elisaf.
