Aristos Arvanitis was a Greek communist, the first chairman of the Socialist Workers Party of Greece (SEKE) which became the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) in 1922.

Arvanitis had espoused socialism while in Germany and became the the first chairman of the Socialist Workers Party of Greece (SEKE) in November 1918. He was ousted in 1919 as an "opportunist" because he was opposed to placing the SEKE under the ideological and organisational aegis of the Communist International (Comintern).

Afterwards, Arvanitis became involved in socialdemocratic movements. He authored a book "Crisis in Socialism and Communism"
