Augustinos Kapodistrias (in Greek Αυγουστίνος Καποδίστριας , 1778- 1857). Greek soldier and politician.

Augustinos was the younger brother of Ioannis Kapodistrias, first Governor of Greece. After the latter's assassination on October 9, 1831, Augustinos inherited his brother's seat in the governing council. He was also part of the triumvirate - along with Theodoros Kolokotronis and Ioannis Kolettis - that governed Greece. On December 5, 1831, he was name "President of the Government". On March 15, 1832, he was named as temporary Governor to serve until a King could be appointed. He was forced to resign on March 28. Two days later, he left Greece. His rule was marked by political instability and the country's slide to anarchy.

Kapodistrias settled first in Kerkyra and later in St Petersburg. He lived on a pension by the Russian government until his death in May 1857. He is buried in Kerkyra.
