Kotridis was born on October 30, 1928, in Drapetsona, Piraeus to a family that hailed from Kerasous, Pontus. His career as a midfielder at Olympiakos spanned the years 1950 - 1961.

Kotridis was capped 18 times with the Greek National team, scoring 1 goal.

He is still considered the premier penalty specialist of Greek football.

He died on April 18, 2009.
