Cedric Kante is a French-born Malian football defender currently at Panathinaikos.

Kante was born on July 6, 1979 in Stasbourg, France. He played for Strasbourg, Istres, Valence and Nice in France before coming to Greece and Panathinaikos in the summer of 2009.

Kante's debut with Panathinaikos was a very disappointing performance in the 3rd round CL qualifiers against Sparta Prague.
