Dimitris Paridis

Dimitris Paridis was born in 1945 in the city of Kavala. He first started playing football for Keravnos Agios Andreas (Κεραυνός Αγίου Ανδρέα), a local Kavala team. He later joined the local Kavala AEK team before moving to PAOK in 1962.

Considered by many one of the best wing attackers for Greek football, his best qualities were speed, sharp dribbling, nice shot and ...foxy smarts. He was beloved by PAOK fans.

He played with PAOK until 1977 in 183 championship games scoring 49 goals, in 31 cup games scoring 19 goals; 4 games for the UEFA Cup, 8 games in the Cupwinners Cup with 1 goal, and 1 game in the European Champion Clubs' Cup (later to become the UEFA Champions League).

The stadium of Agios Andreas Kavala is named in his honor.
