The Dionysades is a small island complex off the coast of Lasithi prefecture, Crete, roughly 10 miles from Sitia. It consists of four islands: Yianisada, Dragonada, Paximada and Paximadaki.
Diodorus mentions that the islands were a place of worship of ancient god Dionysus. Artifacts have been found from ancient and early-christian eras indicating that the islands - now uninhabited - may have been settled at one time.
The Dionysades complex is home to a rare species of protected falcon the Falco Eleonora known in Greek as μαύρος πετρίτης.
