Elena Venizelou was the second wife of Greek Prime Minister Eleftherios Venizelos.

Venizelou was born Elena Skilitsi in London, England, to wealthy Greek parents originally from the island of Chios. She married Eleftherios Venizelos - who was eleven years her senior - on September 15 (September 2 OS), 1921 and shared his life until the day he died in March of 1936.

Venizelou became active in social matters in Greece. In 1933, she established a much-needed neo-natal hospital in Athens. Later, with her donations, a chapel would be built nearby.

On June 6, 1933, during the second attempt on Venizelos' life, Elena was injured in the hand.

Venizelou remained a widow until her death at age 84, on September 10, 1959. Late in life she wrote her memoirs "In the shadow of Venizelos".
