Francois Modesto

Francois Modesto is a French football defender / defensive midfielder.

Modesto was born on August 19 1978 in Bastia, Corsica, France. He started his career with Bastia in 1997, moving to Cagliari in 1999.

Modesto played for Cagliari until 2004, spending his last year on loan to Modena. In that same year, he transferred to AC Monaco. With the Monegasque club, Modesto played in 164 league games from 2004 until 2010.

In June 2010, Modesto joined Olympiakos where he has since won the league title twice.
