Giorgos Georgiou is a Greek football defender.

Georgiou was born on September 24, 1979 in Augsburg. He started his career with amateur club Kerasovo in Evrytania prefecture moving, in 1998, to Panaitolikos Agrinio. In 2002 he moved on to Kerkyra FC where he made his debut in the Alpha Ethniki during the 2005 season. He transferred the following year to Atromitos Athens where he was a regular for the next three years.

In 2008, Georgiou moved to Cyprus to play for Anorthosis Famagusta. With the Famagusta club he first tasted Champions' League play in 2008 -2009.

In January 2011, Georgiou signed for OFI. After one season in Crete, he returned to Atromitos Athens.
