Giorgos Mouratidis, born in 1927, was a star centre back in the 1940s and 1950s. He started his career at Apollon Kalamaria, moved to PAOK in 1947. He immediately played as a starter, debuting in a 3-2 winning game against Megas Alexandros. He went on to play 71 games with PAOK scoring 9 goals.

In August 1951 he joined AEK Athens. He retired in 1955 at age 28.

He was capped 8 times by the Greek National Football Team.
