Giorgos Plitsis

Giorgos Plitsis is a former football goalkeeper of the 1980s - 1990s era.

Plitsis was born on August 10, 1963. He started his professional career at AE Larisa in 1979. In December 1987, he transferred to Olympiakos. After a single season, he joined Iraklis Thessaloniki where he played for seven years (1989-1996).

Over all, he played in 318 Alpha Ethniki games over 16 years.

Afterwards, he also played for Lamia FC and Apollon Larisa, retiring after the 1998 season.

During his career, Plitsis was capped 20 times by the National Football Team of Greece.
