Jack Nikolaidis

Iakovos "Jack" Nikolaidis was a basketball player and sports official.

Nikolaidis was born in 1925. He was the nephew of Apostolos Nikolaidis, an athlete and sports official after whom Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium was named.

As a player Nikolaidis participated in the first two championship seasons of Panathinaikos BC (1946 and 1947).

In the 1970s, when Panathinaikos president Apostolos Nikolaidis was ailing, Jack stepped in to fill his uncle's shoes. It was he who handed over leadership of the club to the Vardinoyiannis family.

Nikolaidis died on September 2, 2015, at the age of 90.
