  • 1994: Gymnast Ioannis Melissanidis takes the PSAT award. The young champion received accolades when he dedicated the gold medal he earned at the European Juniors to the memory of his friend turkish gymnast Murat Kanbas who died in a car accident before the games. For this gesture he was awarded the Ipekci prize.
  • 1998: Krzysztof Warzycha scores his 182nd League goal against Apollon Athens earning first place on Panathinaikos' all-time scoring list. Antonis Antoniadis had previously held the record with 181.
  • 2005: Nikos Mourkakos, one of the top administrative managers of Ethnikos for almost 40 years, since 1950, and the first sportscaster of the Military Forces Radio (ΥΕΝΕΔ), broadcasting football matches every Sunday from 1954 to 1963, dies at the age of 82. In parallel, he wrote lines for many commercially successful folk songs.
  • 2009: Sophocles Pilavios is elected Chairman of the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO).
