Juan Ramon Rocha

Juan Ramón Rocha (born March 8, 1954) came to Panathinaikos after he retired as an Argentinian football player.

He began his career at Newell's Old Boys. Panathinaikos singed him during the summer of 1979 from Baraquilla of Argentina and played until the spring of 1989. Nicknamed The Indian, he was great footballer who had skill, vision and served the club for a very long time.

He first came as a player of Greek origin named Yiannis Boublis. The subsequent discovery of record falsifications and the ensuing scandal almost landed Rocha in jail and Panathinaikos in the Second Division.

He is definitely one of the best players in PAO's history as older fans would remember.

He became Panathinaikos' coach for 1994, 1995, 1996; he would lead Panathinaikos to the semi final run in the '95-'96 UEFA Champions League.
