Kofi Amponsah is a Ghanaian football defender who has had a long career in Greece.

Amponsah was born on April 23, 1978. He arrived in Greece in 1998 as a player of Olympiakos Piraeus but was sent on loan to Panelefsiniakos. He later returned to Olympiakos for a couple of seasons before joining PAOK Thessaloniki.

In the Summer of 2003, Amponsah left PAOK for AEK. He has since moved on to Apollon Kalamaria.

Amponsah is a Ghanaian international and has played in the 2002 Cup of African Nations.
