Kostas Katsouranis (born June 21, 1979 in Patra, Greece) is a Greek football defensive midfielder who occasionally fills in at centre back.

He debuted in the 1997 season for the Patra-based club Panachaiki FC. He spent six seasons at the club and by the third was already a starter. In the 2003 season he earned a transfer to one of the domestic giants of the Greek league AEK FC.

Kostas was one of the key factors in Greece's triumph at the European Championships of 2004. Many consider him one of the best talents to arise from Greece. So far (January 2009), he has 58 caps to his name along with 7 goals.

On June 23, 2006, Katsouranis signed for Portuguese club Benfica.
