Kostas Tarasis

Kostas Tarasis is a Greek former football player who is currently a coach.

Tarasis was born in 1956 in Oinoussa, Serres prefecture. He started his football career as a goalkeeper in a local club before switching to central defender. He was acquired by Panserraikos where he was once again converted into a left-side full back.

In December, 1982, Tarasis made the big jump to Panathinaikos where he was established as a right-side defender. He won the double with the greens in 1984 and 1986 but, after the 1987 season, he was released.

Tarasis then joined Aris Thessaloniki where he lasted one year before moving on to Mesolonghi FC where he ended his career.

During his playing career, Tarasis was capped four times by the National Football Team of Greece.

He is currently a coach in the youth system of Panathinaikos.
