Ljubomir Petrovic

Ljubomir "Ljupko" Petrović (Љупко Петровић) (born 15 May 1947) is a Serbian former football player, today a football manager and winner of the European Cup in 1991 with Red Star Belgrade. He is the current manager of Bulgarian PFC Litex Lovech.

Born in Velika Brusnica, Bosnia and Herzegovina (then Yugoslavia), Petrović played for the Croatian NK Osijek during most of his career and later also spent some time in the USA.

As a manager, he has been in charge of NK Osijek, FK Spartak Subotica, FK Rad, FK Vojvodina and finally Red Star, with whom he won the 1991 European Cup. He has also managed Greek side Olympiakos Piraeus (beginning of the 1993-1994 season), Spanish RCD Espanyol, Uruguayan C.A. Peñarol, and Chinese Shanghai Shenhua and Beijing Guoan. He had another two spells at Red Star before moving to Bulgaria in the 2000s to coach Levski Sofia and later PFC Litex Lovech.
