Michail Stefanidis was a Greek university professor and member of the Academy of Athens.

Stefanidis was born on November 8, 1868 in Mantamodos on the island of Lesbos. He attended the University of Athens, graduating in 1893, with a doctorate in Physics.

Stefanidis taught Physics in High School at Mytilene between 1896 and 1912. He later taught at the University of Athens.

Stefanidis took part in the creation and publication of the "Historical Dictionary of the Greek Language". He was elected to the Academy of Athens in 1938.

He died on November 25, 1957.
