- 1918: The Battle of Skra, fought in the Macedonia front in World War I, ends in Greek victory over the Bulgarians.
- 1941: Manolis Glezos and Apostolos Santas take down the German flag from the Acropolis, Athens.
- 1969: The first Greek policewomen go on duty.
- 1990: A liver transplant is performed for the first time in Greece.
- 1999: Led by coach Dusan Bajevic, Olympiakos win their third consecutive Greek league title. Ethnikos become the sole team in Greek first division history not to win a single game.
