Saint Tarasius was Patriarch of Constantinople from 784 till 806.

Tarasius was elected to the throne of St Andrew in 784. He was an iconophil, who restored the worship of icons in the Eastern Orthodox Church. He is considered a saint whose feast day is February 25.
