Changes

Prior to [[1922]], the island was inhabited by 2,000 Greeks. After the [[Asia Minor Disaster]] and the exchange of populations between Greece and Turkey, many were resettled on the island of [[Lemnos]] where they established the town of [[Nea Koutali]].
