Stelios Logothetis is a Greek politician who has served as Mayor of Nikaia and of Piraeus.

Logothetis was born in Athens in 1951. He studied at the National Metsovio Polytechnic Institute and took part in the November 1973 anti-Junta uprising.

Logothetis served as Mayor of Nikaia - a northern suburb of Piraeus - from 1978 until 1990 drawing most of his support from the Communist Party of Greece (KKE). At that time, he sought and won the office of Mayor of Piraeus itself. He served until 1998 supported by left-of-centre political parties.

Logothetis was arrested, while still Mayor of Piraeus, on charges of embezzlement, blackmail, abuse of authority, etc. He was originally sentenced (June 12, 1998) to 42 years imprisonmment which was reduced on appeal to a 14-year suspended sentence (2006). Eventually, on January 6, 2009, the Piraeus Appelate Court threw out all charges. Logothetis, himself, consistently maintained his innocence and blamed the central leadership of the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK) for his legal troubles.

His return to local politics is certain.
