Stelios Malezas

Stelios Malezas (Στέλιος Μαλεζάς) is a retired defender. He was born on March 11, 1985 in Katerini, Greece.

After a start at AEP Katerini in his hometown Malezas moved to PAOK in 2003. He stayed in Thessaloniki till the summer of 2012 with the exception of the 2004/2005-season when he played as a loanee at Irodotos. In 2012 Malezas moved to Fortuna Düsseldorf in Germany where he stayed till 2014 to return to Greece and play for Panaitolikos FC. He signed a two-year contract but switched after just one year back to PAOK where he won the Greek Football Cup in 2017, 2018 and 2019. He also won the championship in the latter year.

In the summer of 2019 Malezas was granted a free transfer to Xanthi. At the end of the season he was relegated with his club (an indirect of a 12-point deduction during the season for Xanthi) and announced his retirement.

Malezas has been capped 3 times for Greece.

After his retirement in (2020) he became manager of the U19 of PAOK. In his first season he lifted the championship trophy with the youngsters.
