Takis Nikoloudis

Born in 1951, Takis Nikoloudis was a midfield player whose top-league career started in 1969 with Iraklis. In 1977, he joined AEK and was part of their great 1978 and 1979 teams. He left AEK in 1980 for Olympiakos playing for the Piraeus club until 1985 when he closed out his career at Apollon Kalamaria.

He was capped 22 times and scored 4 goals. He was part of the Greece's largest football victory (8-1 against Finland for the Euro 1980 qualifying round on Oct. 11, 1978).

With a goal from Takis Nikoloudis, Greece qualified for the first time for a European Championship (Euro 1980) as they overcome the USSR 1-0 at Leoforos (Sep. 12, 1979).

Did you know?

Takis Nikoloudis played for AEK against Olympiakos in their May 17, 1978 6-1 triumph in the Greek Cup. He also played for Olympiakos against AEK in their 6-0 Greek league triumph on February 8, 1981.
