For the general with this name, see Theodoros Pangalos (general).

Theodoros Pangalos (Greek Θεόδωρος Πάγκαλος), born on August 17, 1938, in Eleusina, Greece, was a Greek politician.

He was the grandson of general Theodoros Pangalos, a member of the Greek parliament and a Deputy Prime Minister in the Giorgos Papandreou government. He also served as minister of Foreign Affairs.

Pangalos graduated from the University of Athens with degrees in Law and Economics. He did his post-graduate studies at the Sorbonne in Paris, France. Pangalos was actively involved against the military dictatorship, and in 1968, the junta deprived him of his Greek citizenship.

In 1981 he was elected for the first time MP with PASOK and was re-elected many times. Besides having served as minister of Foreign Affairs (1996 - 1999), Pangalos has also served as Minister for Culture from April until November of 2000.

In October 2009, newly-elected PM Giorgos Papandreou surprisingly appointed him deputy Prime Minister.

Pangalos died on May 31, 2023.

Pangalos was married to Christina nee Christofaki. They had five children.
