Vasilis Ioannou was a Greek football player born in 1935. He played outside-left (left wing) for Doxa Drama in their glory years (1950s - early 1960s). Despite his fine play, unlike his teammates Takis Loukanidis, Thanasis Loukanidis and Pavlos Grigoriadis, Ioannou did not receive an offer from one of the bigger clubs in the Alpha Ethniki. He was, however, capped by the National Football Team of Greece once in 1959.
