Walter Skocik is an Austrian former footballer and coach.

Skocik was born on September 6, 1940 in Wienerherberg, eastern Austria. He was a midfielder who played for Rapid Vienna (1959-1969), Wattens (1969-1971), SSW Innsbruck (1971-1973), Fribourg (1973/74) and Bregenz (1974-1979). During his career, he was capped 14 times by Austria.

He coached: Bregenz (1974-1979), Rapid Vienna (1979-1982), Las Palmas (1982/83), PAOK (1984-1986 and winning the league championship in 1985), Larisa, Olympiakos Volos, Apollon Athens, Ethnikos Piraeus, Wiener Sportclub, Ittihad Jeddah, FC Tirol Innsbruck, LASK, Omonia Nicosia, Austria Wien, First Vienna FC and Diagoras Rhodes (2005-06).
