Yiannis Chaniotis was a Greek football forward of the 1950s era.

Chaniotis was born on March 21, 1934, in Piraeus. He started his football career at Atromitos Piraeus in 1953.

In 1955, he transferred to AEK where he stayed until 1959. The high point of his career was in 1956 when he scored against Panathinaikos, in the semifinal, and Olympiakos, in the final, to help AEK win the Greek Football Cup.

In 1959, he was sent to Aegaleo FC as part of the trade that brought center back Yiannis Marditsis to AEK.

In 1961, Chaniotis migrated to Sydney, Australia, where he stayed until his death on February 3, 2024.
