Silva Cleyton was born on [[March 8]], [[1983]] in Jacarei, Brazil. He arrived in Greece in [[2002]] and played the next two years for Messiniakos. In [[2004]] he transferred to [[Apollon Kalamaria FC|Apollon Kalamaria]] where he scored 32 goals in 81 league games.

Two years later he moved to [[AE Larisa FC|AE Larisa]] where he won the [[Greek Football Cup]] in [[2007]]. The following year he made the big jump to [[Panathinaikos FC|Panathinaikos]].

Silva Cleyton is a Greek citizen and speaks the [[Greek language]] fairly well.
