==Information==
The geography of Skopelos includes a mountaintop to the northeest and bushy within Alonissos. Agriculture is also common, mainly mixed farming and vineyards, the main products are almonds, grapes, figs and olives. Spruce trees are also common. Fishing is also common on the island. Tourism is, however, the main industry. Housing walls remain standing while the roofs were ruined.

Houses are built next to each other are have stone walls. A small fortress protected against enemies and pirates. The island and the village was heavily damaged in the [[1965]] earthquake. Many inhabitants rebuilt the damages houses later but many of them were in Patitiri.

The beaches around the island consists of rough gravel. It is accessible with a moped or a boat. The ecosystem in the north side of the island are in good condition. The monachus seals ''Monachus-Monachus'' are common in the island and are protected. This seal is the rarest in Europe. In [[1992]], the [[Alonissos Marine Park]] was created to protect the monachus seals and other animals.

Alonissos is the smallest island in population.

Alonissos has a school, a lyceum, a church, banks, a post office, beaches, an institute of homeopathy, and a square (''plateia'').
