Fetsis was the first holder of the Greek record for the [[800m]] with 2:22.2.
He was also the first holder of the Greek record for the [[1500m]] with 4:53.0.
Both records were set in [[1896]]. Later that year he took part in the [[1896 Summer Olympics|Summer Olympics]] finishing 5th in the [[1500m]].

He was a gymnastics teacher by profession.
