Synodinou was born on [[April 21]], [[1927]], in [[Loutraki]], [[Corinthia prefecture]]. She studied in the Drama School of the National Theatre and starred, on stage, in many ancient plays and Shakespearian dramas.

On the screen she made a name for herself playing Queen Gorgo in the [1962]] hit film "300 Spartans". Her other films include "Thanasakis o politevomenos" (Thanasis the politician), "Dollaria kai oneira" (Dollars and Dreams), "O anthropos tou trainou" (The man from the train).
