'''Apostolos Kontos''' is a [[Greeks|Greek]] retired [[basketball]] player.

Kontos was born on [[November 22]], [[1947]]. He started his career at Ionikos [[Nea Philadelphia]] and transferred to [[Panathinaikos BC]] in the early [[1970s]]. At Panathinaikos, Kontos won 9 league titles (1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1977, 1980, 1981, 1982) and two [[Greek Basketball Cup|Greek Cups]] (1979, 1982).

At age 39, Kontos transferred to [[AEK BC]] becoming the second oldest Greek [[A1 League]] basketball player to be traded. He retired in February [[1987]].

During his career, Kontos played in 114 games with the [[National Basketball Team]] of Greece. He scored 1,114 points
