Pasiardis was born in Tseri on [[January 31]], [[1944]]. He studied Philosophy in the [[University of Athens]] and was appointed to the diplomatic corps in January of [[1974]].

He has since served the Cypriot Foreign Ministry in various capacities including Ambassador to [[Athens]] between April [[1998]] until November [[2001]].

In December 2001, he was appointed Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry and, on [[May 14]], [[2007]] was appointed [[Minister for Defence (Cyprus)|Minister for Defence]].

Pasiardis is married with two children.
